Rebroadcast to Include Sweet 16 Preview and will run Wednesday Night on Westwood One Affiliated Stations, SiriusXM, and TuneIn, plus Free Online Streaming at WestwoodOneSports.com

NEW YORK, NY – March 20, 2018

It was the biggest upset in NCAA Tournament history and changed the face of March Madness forever. On Friday night, March 16, the #16-seeded UMBC Retrievers stunned top-seeded Virginia 74-54, an outcome that busted brackets everywhere. It was the first time in NCAA Men’s Basketball history that a #16-seed beat a #1-seed.

In honor of this historic result, Westwood One, the largest radio network in the U.S. and the official network radio partner of the NCAA, is offering a special encore presentation of the entire original game broadcast from start to finish, including postgame interviews with the winning team and with limited commercial interruption. Kevin Kugler and former North Carolina All-American center Eric Montross called all the action courtside from Charlotte on Friday night. Brad Heller will host the broadcast, which will include a revamped halftime show featuring a Sweet 16 preview with analyst Jon Crispin. The rebroadcast will air on Wednesday night, March 21, 2018 and will be available via Westwood One affiliated stations, SiriusXM, TuneIn, and free online streaming at WestwoodOneSports.com.

Westwood One’s exclusive broadcast coverage of NCAA Tournament continues with the Sweet 16 (regional semifinals) — on Thursday, March 22 and Friday, March 23 from Atlanta, Los Angeles, Boston, and Omaha — and all the way through to the Final Four® in San Antonio, TX on March 31 and April 2.
