Motel 6 Commercial Chosen as Listeners' Choice and Media Choice
NEW YORK, NY, February 3, 2014 -The results are in for WestwoodOne’s Super Bowl Audio Index, the first-ever consumer-driven index, which ranked the most creative audio commercials airing during WestwoodOne's Super Bowl XLVIII broadcast.
Motel 6, the economy lodging brand most recognized for its long-running tagline, “We’ll leave the light on for you®,” earned the top spot in both the Listeners Choice and Media Choice categories. The other top four vote-getters, in consecutive order, included Tilted Kilt, Subway, Exergen, and Taco Bell. You can hear the top five commercials here.
Two weeks leading up to The Big Game, listeners were encouraged to vote for their favorite Super Bowl commercial across many of WestwoodOne properties via an array of online and on-air promotion. Listeners were directed to www.westwoodone.com/vote, where each of the commercials was available for consumer voting from Thursday, January 30 through 12 midnight ET on February 2, 2014.

The index was comprised of all commercials aired on the 700+ radio stations which broadcast WestwoodOne’s exclusive, national play-by-play coverage of Super Bowl XLVIII.
